Ogun Police to Enforce Govt's No large Gathering Order

Commissioner of Police, CP, Ogun State Command, is ready to enforce the banning of all forms of social and religious gatherings in Ogun State.

CP Kenneth Ebrimson was quoted in the press statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimboa Oyeyemi today, Sunday.

He said all the command's tactical squads, area commanders and DPO's had been activated to ensure the full implementation of the order and to make sure that the order is obeyed to the letter.

The Police head in Ogun State appealed to the general public to stay clear of any social or religious gathering that might attract up to 50 people as his Command was out to strictly enforce the government directives.

It should be recalled that both federal and Ogun State government had earlier issued orders to avoid gathering of up to 50 people in order to curb and combat the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

In addition, the Commissioner of Police has ordered immediate release of all suspects being detained for minor offences in all police detention facilities  across the State as part of the preventive measure while the police medical team has been directed to take awareness campaign to market places, Barracks, police formations and detention facilities to safeguard the suspects safety."

Members of the public are enjoined to call the Command's control room number 08081770416 or 08081770419.
