The Appeal Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State this afternoon put to rest the controversy over the prescribed authority of Ososun and other group of communities in Oke Pata in Ifo Local Government.
In a unanimous decision of the 3-man panel of judges of the Appeal Court, Ibadan, two issues out of three placed before the judges for determination were resolved in favour of the respondent, Chief Taofeek Fasina, Baale Ososun in Ifo Local Government.
The other one was resolved in favour of Chief Alani Solanke, the appalant.
Baale Fashina who was installed Baale Ososun by Oba Dr Dapo Tejuoso, Osile and Paramount Ruler of Oke Ona Egba land in 2012 had sued Chief Alani Solanke, the Ekerin Ososun when Oba Samuel OLADIPUPO, Olu of Ifo contrary to Ogun State Chieftaincy Law, culture, custom and traditional administration as relevant to Egba land usurped the prescribed authority of Osile and installed the appalant, Chief Solanke as factional Baale Ososun.
Solanke appealed against the judgement of Ogun State High Court, Ota delivered by Justice Nafiu I. Agbelu in July 2017.
