THE INSPECTOR-GENERAL OF POLICE, Mohammed Adamu (pictured above) has in a signal dated August 24 directed that no candidate should be disqualified irrespective of their physical appearance, age and qualification.
This is according to a wireless message released by the Inspector General on Monday.
The wireless message reads thus: “Inspector-General of Police directs that you attend to all applicants who successfully submitted their online applications to police recruitment portal irrespective of their physical appearance, age and qualification. You are not to disqualify any applicant for any reason whatsoever.
This message will leave many to wonder what would be the basis for selection if those qualification requirements earlier advertised during online application stage have been removed by the IG as it is obvious that not all the applicants would be successfully recruited at the end of the exercise.
The number of constables to be recruited is reportedly put at 10,000. The screening exercise equally started yesterday, 24th August 2020 at the different zones of the federation.
Another important message for all applicants is that they should proceed to their zones with those screening requirements. Do not wait for any message to be sent to you as no message is being sent to any applicant. The screening is for all persons who submitted applications online.
