The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Zone 2 Command, Onikan Lagos, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu psc+, accompanied by Lagos State Commissioner of Police Akeem Odumosu and his counterpart in Ogun State, Kenneth Ebrimson, has embarked on special patrol exercise to monitored the borders between the two state in furtherance to enforce the lockdown order of Federal Goverment to prevent the spread of deadly virus.
Speaking at the event, especially in Lagos Kara and Interchange, AIG Iliyasu, said he was impressed by the high level of compliance by Nigerians, adding that Nigeria Police Force and Community Policing have been the yardstick towards achieving better results.

According to him: "There has been a huge compliance about the lockdown in both States, few people apprehended does not complied with the exercise, since the country is not totally shutdown’’.
The AIG emphasised the need for continued synergy between the two states, to sustain the cooperation and success recorded, saying efforts were being intensified to make Ogun and Lagos a ‘crime free zones’.
In their separate remarks, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Akeem Odumosu and his Ogun counterpart, Kenneth Ebrimson pledged to always complement the good legacy of the AIG, promising that the two States would not relent in joint policing, especially at this crucial stage of Covid-19 in the country, to make the Federal Government pronouncement on lockdown a success.
Other sister agencies at the events includes: Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO), So- Safe Corps, Police Community Relations Committee, among others.
