Senator Amosun distributes Covid-19 relief packages across 3, 210 polling units in Ogun State

Senator Ibikunle Amosun CON, FCA, governor of Ogun State (2011 - 2019) has concluded arrangements to share Covid-19 food packages to relief both the poor and vulnerable across Ogun State.

The Senator, representing, Ogun Central Senatorial District, would be distributing the relief materials through the 3,210 polling units in the State.

He noted that the distribution has no political colouration, saying the distribution was apolitical. 

"The food packages consisting of Rice, Gari, Noodles and Vegetable oil have been packaged to reach the 3,210 Polling Unit areas in Ogun State. In addition, critical stakeholders would also be reached through their respective leaders in an orderly manner throughout Ogun State.

"Distribution of the palliatives is APOLITICAL. Consequently, efforts have been put in place to achieve this desired objective. We hereby implore our people particularly the needies and the vulnerable to await the delivery of the palliatives in their respective polling unit areas with effect from today -  Thursday 9th April, 2020, the former governor appealed.

Senator Ibikunle Amosun also appealed to the Ogun State citizens to maintain government regulation on social distancing and orderliness in the distribution and collection of the packages throughout the State.

"We also seize this opportunity to appeal to our people in Ogun State to continue to stay at home, wash their hands regularly, maintain good hygiene and comply with government regulation towards the prevention of Corona-Virus.
