A NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION known as Think Rich Community, which came to existence recently has commenced free distribution of food items to 500 poor people or needy to alleviate their hunger.
The NGO that is presently has its headquarters at Iyana Mortuary, Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun State, Nigeria has its branches in Abeokuta South, Odeda and Sagamu Local Government Areas in Ogun State as it launched it's Oyo State arms on November 5, and its vision is to cover the entire Ogun State and Nigeria.
The President of Think Rich Community, Comrade Saidi Oladimeji while speaking to some selected journalists in his office Thursday, November 11 while distributing food items to 500 poor people, adumbrated the aims and objectives of the Community which are to give help to the needy as well as the rich in order to create a new egalitarian society in Nigeria.
Comrade Oladimeji who described himself as a philosopher and friend of people said "individual is a product of his thought".
"You can't be thinking about how to get rich always and become poor and vice versa.
"What makes you and I different from each other is as a result of our different thoughts. Thus what individuals would be doing would be different from each other."
Having realised this lesson of life President of Think Rich Community now brought different people of various backgrounds together to think the same way and do the same thing in order to build a community of rich people by helping the humanity.
Think Rich Community, according to the promoter has two projects namely, "Think Help International Foundation and Think Rich Cooperative and Multipurpose Society.
In Think Help International Foundation that is centred on people, Oladimeji said there are services to the needy like Food Support, Materials Support, and Health Support, saying these services are run concurrently on monthly basis.
He said Think Rich Cooperative and Multipurpose Society is different from the traditional cooperative societies as it were because the members who get loans are to only pay back the principal without any interests.
According to him, the objective is to give value to mankind, saying anything that won't add value to humanity is not part of his project. He said Think Rich Community does not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, tribe or status, positing that the rich today may become the poor tomorrow.
He said people could not be judged on the basis of their looks. He appeals to the rich in Ogun State, nay Nigeria to donate generously to Think Rich Community (TRC) to help the poor as the Community serves as a bridge between the rich and the poor/needy.
Oladimeji pointed out that the poor do not need to disturb the rich at their comfort zones, and the rich should use the platform of Think Rich Community to reach out to the poor.
He said the personal contributions of the members of TRC could no longer cope with the surge of people in needs who come forward monthly to receive free food and materials supports.
He assures donors and philanthropists that whatever is donated will be 100 percent deliver to the needy on the monthly programmes.
He, however, assured the needy to obtain the TRC registration form and get the membership cards to make the free food, materials, and health distributions hitch free every month.
Comrade Oladimeji said the collection of the data of patrons of free food distribution was essential for administrative and donation purposes, saying donor organisations might request for different segments of the society for support and useful purposes. The data would handy to process and prepare support for the needy.
He, however, said the Think Rich Community, though non-political, non-religious and, non-profit, was available to individual politicians and political parties.
"Our secondary aim is to use our numbers as an instrument of unity in the society, and as much as we are citizens of this country we have a right to vote and be voted for.
"We can have as much figures as we have today and not having any political participation in our State. That is, our citizenship right is not complete," posited the President, Think Rich Community.
