OGUN STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY will on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 hold a public hearing on the amendment bills on the ongoing Fifth Alterations of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, who disclosed this during a plenary in Abeokuta, added that the forum was to avail all necessary stakeholders, including concerned professional bodies and non-governmental organisations, the opportunity to lend their voices to the amendments.
The forum, according to him, would take place at the Assembly Complex, Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta at 10:00am prompt, while urging all the stakeholders to be seated at 9.30 am.
Some of the bills include the bills to proffer legislative and judicial financial independence as disclosed by Speaker Oluomo during the public lecture to mark this year's International Parliamentary Day.
