PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI inaugurated four major infrastructural projects conceived and executed by Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration during the former one-day official visit to Ogun state.
Buhari, who dressed in Yoruba traditional flowing blue agbada and matching Yoruba cap made of the popular local “Adire” fabrics, arrived the Gateway City Gate Monument, Sagamu-Interchage at 11.37am in company of his host governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Amongst dignitaries who received President Buhari included the State Governor, the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti State), Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo State), Gbenga Oyetola (Osun State), and Mai Mala Buni (Yobe State).
Others were Ogun State former governors Chief Olusegun Osoba, Gbenga Daniel, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Col. Daniel Akintonde (rtd.) and Commodore Kayode Olofinmoyin (rtd.).
The President in the company of Governor Abiodun commissioned the 14km Epe/ Ijebu-ode Expressway in the Ogun East Senatorial District, Ogun Gateway City Monument at Sagamu interchange and the 42km Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway in Obafemi-Owode Local Government area, Ogun Central.
Other projects also commissioned by the President included two housing projects. 527 units of a low and medium Housing Scheme at Kobape and the high-brow, 83 duplexes at the Kings Court Estate at Oke Mosan in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Thereafter, the President held a town hall meeting with critical stakeholders and party bigwigs at a banquet held at the Presidential Lodge, Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta, the state capital.
President Muhammadu Buhari departed from Abeokuta at about 5:30in the evening accompanied by his host and other top officials.
