NOVAK DJOKOVIC has this morning won his appeal against the decision to refuse him a visa and will be released from the Melbourne detention hotel he has spent the last five days living in.
Djokovic won his appeal in court and the Australian government was ordered to pay his legal costs.
However, he is not yet certain to play at the Australian Open after the court was informed the Minister for Immigration, Alex Hawke, could still exercise a personal power of cancellation of Djokovic’s visa.
