The PDP governirship candidate said Governor Dapo Abiodun came into the Ogun State government as a chronic debtor, adding that he had used the money to repay his huge debts that he owed banks.
Ladi Adebutu also disclosed that Dapo Abiodun has borrowed more money in three and half years of his administration than all the monies borrowed by the combined 16 years of Otunba Gbenga Daniel and Senator Ibikunle.
"My brother at One Mosan is corrupt.
AmosunOtunba Segun Sowunmi, former PDP governorship aspirant, who had earlier vented his grievances against the outcome of the party governorship primary in the law courts, was on the talkshow Thursday when the Hon. Ladi Adebutu's phone call crept into the programme.
The journey to have a united front to the postponed governorship and House of Assembly election started when Hon Oladipupo Adebutu called in during the live radio interview programme and urged Sowunmi to sheath the flaming sword and support him in his quest to wrestle the governorship seat from the incumbent, Governor Dapo Abiodun during March 18 governorship elections.
Adebutu posited that inasmuch as Sowunmi might truly have convictions to be aggrieved, the latter should bury the hatchet for the greater good of the people of the Ogun State currently bearing the brunt of bad governance of the APC-led administration, enjoining the political gladiator to team up with him to be the next governor of the State.
Adebutu disclosed that Mr. Jimi Lawal, another aggrieved governorship aspirant on PDP platform whose matter against the governorship primary victory of Adebutu as a flagbearer of PDP was dismissed by the Supreme Court on Thursday, March 9, 2023, did not bring anybody into the party when he joined PDP late last year.
He further berated another chieftain whose name was undisclosed. He said the chieftain was a loafer, who has been a burden to him and the PDP, adding that their exit is a big relief for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.
The PDP governorship candidate I the March 18 election appreciated Otunba Segun Sowunmi for showing understanding and allowing himself to be used by God in the big interest of the people of Ogun State, commending and promising Sowunmi's loyalists good tidings when he wins the governorship election.
Adebutu, expressing optimism of election victory, further unveiled that the the former PDP chieftain who decamped to APC with his small group of loyalists were moles as they used the resources of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to garner votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the recently concluded presidential election.
"Some moles within the Peoples Democratic Party, who are pretenders, used our resources to work for All Progressives Congress at the just concluded presidential elections. They are burden to us and we tried to manage them, offer them financial support every month but they were never satisfied.
"Their exit is now a relief for us, and they cannot last more than 90 days before they descend to hell, with N1 or N2 million they were bribed before they crosscarpeted to APC. We knew them earlier enough and struck them out. PDP is now free. My mission to become the Governor is to repair the State", Adebutu explained.
Adebutu said the journey to secure the party ticket as the Governorship candidate has been tough with over 8 court matters that were prosecuted up to supreme court, adding that they were at great costs, but assuring the members of his party victory at the poll.
