A SENIOR LECTURER at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja, collapsed during an official event in Abuja and later passed away.
Dr. Abraham Afolayan (pictured above - inset), a distinguished criminal litigation lecturer was attending an event in the town on behalf of the Director-General, when he suddenly collapsed and later died. His body was brought back to the Law School clinic on Tuesday afternoon.
Described as a father figure and mentor to many students, Afolayan was known for his exceptional teaching skills in criminal litigation, and also admired for his wisdom, kindness, and dedication to nurturing the next generation of legal professionals.
Students who passed through his tutelage fondly remember Dr. Afolayan as the guiding light of their legal careers. Many credit him with instilling in them the values of ethics and professionalism that are essential in the legal field.
The Nigerian Law School mourns the loss of one of its brightest stars, and who left an indelible mark on legal education in Nigeria. Dr. Abraham Afolayan’s passing is a significant loss, and his memory will be cherished by all whose lives he touched.
