OGUN STATE Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) begins massive
enlightenment campaign for commercial transport operators on the need to comply
with the State government advisory to contain the deadly disease Covid-19 in
the State.
The TRACE Corps
Commander, ‘Seni Ogunyemi, told the land transport operators that tricycle
should carry only two passengers, Okada rider should carry only one passenger, while
taxi driver should carry two passengers at the back and one at the front,
saying this during the sensitization
exercise at parks across Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.
He said the government
made this order to encourage social distancing among passengers and commuters
in order to prevent the spread of the disease.
The TRACE boss advised
union leaders to embark on subjecting drivers, conductors, as well as
passengers to temperature check and ensure any abnormality was reported
immediately to appropriate authorities before embarking on any trip.
The Commander further said
drivers and conductors should also wear hand gloves and nose masks while the
