Former Minister of Mines and Steel Condoles Muslims Communities in Yorubaland, Edo, Delta States, Ogun State, Family on Demise of Egba Chief Imam

THE LEAGUE OF IMAMS and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States has commiserated  with the family, the Muslim Communities in Egbaland, Ogun State, Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States on the demise of the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Liadi Ayinde Orunsolu.

Alhaji Sarafa Tunji Isola, the Baba Adinni of Ogun State and Baba Adinni of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, in a condolence letter written on behalf of the League and delivered to the family of the deceased, described Sheikh Orunsolu as a Titan during his lifetime that spanned a period of 98 years.

The Baba Adinni of Ogun State said the late Chief Imam of Egbaland would be remembered for a long time for the significant role he played in bringing together all Muslim communities in Egbaland. 
He said: "Sheikh Liadi was also a key factor in the unity and cooperation that have prevailed among the Muslim Communities in Ogun State and Yorubaland."

The late Sheikh Liadi Orunsolu, who was the President of the League of Imams and Alfas I Ogun State at the time of his death, was a man of peace, profound knowledge and immense wisdom

Alhaji Sarafa Tunji Isola said the late Egba's Chief Imam would be remembered by his immense contributions to inter-religious harmony in Ogun State in particular and Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, adding that 
successive administrations in Ogun State had also benefited immensely from his frank, honest and fatherly contributions. 

Baba Adinni, Ogun State, noted that he would be greatly missed by the entire people of Ogun State.  

"May Allah (SWT) grant the family and the Egba Muslim Community the strength to bear the loss of this colossus who was a father to all and sundry. May Allah (SWT) reward his uncommon services to man and his Creator with Aljanat Firdaus, Alhaji Isola prayed.

Sheikh Orunsolu, Egba Chief Imam passed on at his residence yesterday afte a brief illness.
