ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS (APC) has mourned the death of the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Alhaji Liadi Orunsolu, describing him as a “conscientious servant of Allah.”
In a statement issued in Abeokuta, signed by Chief Wole Elegbede, Publicity Secretary,

Ogun State party said that Alhaji Orunsolu, who was also the President-General of the League of Imams and Alfas in Ogun State, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at the age of 98, adding that he lived a “pious life that is worthy of emulation by all.”The statement reads: “We are shocked by the demise of the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Alhaji Liadi Orunsolu. He was a pious and tireless religious leader who set high moral standards and left big shoes that only Allah can help to fill. Nevertheless, we take solace that it was Allah (that) called Baba unto Himself to rest in Aljanna firdaus."
Ogun State APC extended condolences to the family of the deceased, the Egbaland's Muslim Community and the entire Muslim jummah in Ogun State and prayed Allah to grant them the heart to bear the irreparable loss."
