CHIEF ALABA LAWSON (pictured above) who doubled as the Iyalode of Egbaland and Iyalode of Yoruba land, and the past national president and State Chairman and of National Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Manufacturing and Agriculture, NACCIMA, and Abeokuta Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ABEOCCIMA)

Executive Secretary of ABEOCCIMA, AbdulRahman Maku, confirmed the death in a statement received by thedispatch.

Here, below, is the statement.

“WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THE DEMISE OF NACCIMA PAST PRESIDENT & ABEOCCIMA MATRON / CHAIRMAN, BOARD OF TRUSTEES, IYALODE ALABA LAWSON, MFR, F.IoD, JP (IYALODE OF YORUBALAND) WHICH OCCURRED IN THE EARLY HOURS OF TODAY SATURDAY 28TH OCTOBER 2023. BURIAL ARRANGEMENT TO BE ANNOUNCED LATER BY THE FAMILY.
