The Acting Executive Secretary, Mr. Akinleye Olubori, revealed this development during an inspection visit to Ayetoro, where he was accompanied by potential contractors. Mr. Olubori underscored the significance of empowering youths through skill acquisition, emphasizing that the younger generation holds the key to the future.

He praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for prioritizing technical education in the state and urged youths to pursue skills that would enable them to create employment opportunities and mitigate the issue of unemployment.

In a statement, World Bank official specializing in Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET), Mr. Eyo Unyime, outlined the scope of the rehabilitation project, stating that it would be implemented across all geo-political zones in the state.

The revitalization efforts would involve the provision of modern equipment and facilities to enhance the training of students in technical colleges.

OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT WARNS ILLEGAL ALLOCATION OF SETBACKS

SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE GOVERNOR ON ENVIRONMENT has cautioned traditional heads against using their authority to allocate setbacks and open spaces for commercial purposes
in Ogun State,

This warning was issued by Alhaji Farook Akintunde, the Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor on Environment, during a recent enforcement operation in Akute, Ifo Local Government Area.

The state Taskforce on Environmental Compliance and Enforcement, led by Alhaji Akintunde, visited Akute to remove shanties and makeshift structures, following complaints from the Anigilaje Community Association and Zumuratul Primary School.

These complaints highlighted the illegal allocation of spaces at Akute underbridge and around the school by the traditional ruler in the area.

According to Alhaji Akintunde, the unauthorized trading activities posed a danger to residents, especially students. He emphasized that no government would tolerate traditional rulers allocating spaces for personal gain instead of directing traders to designated markets.

He expressed concern that even the school's fence had been allocated, disrupting the learning environment. As a result, the state government took action to demolish the illegal structures and restore environmental and educational integrity to the area.

Displaced traders were urged to relocate to legitimate markets, with the state Environmental Marshals ready to apprehend anyone attempting to return to the demolished area. Mrs. Kikelomo Delano, Chairman of Ifo Local Government, commended the state government for addressing the community's concerns and pledged to enforce a 'No Trading' policy in the affected areas.

"The crackdown on illegal structures serves as a warning to traditional heads in Ogun State that the government will not tolerate the misuse of authority for personal gain at the expense of public safety and environmental integrity."
